C. Thomas Hendrix
As one of the founding partners of the firm, C. Thomas Hendrix brings a broad range of litigation experience to every case. In particular, Tom has extensive expertise in medical malpractice defense and nursing home litigation, as well as premises and automobile liability. Tom has developed an in-depth knowledge of the medical and legal issues involved in medical malpractice and nursing home liability cases during his years of practice, including representation of physicians of numerous specialties. He has represented multiple long-term care nursing facilities in the Chicagoland area and surrounding counties, and also handles premises liability cases for several real estate management companies. Tom has tried numerous cases to successful jury verdicts during his career.
“In defending a legal challenge, my approach is detail orientated, identifying and analyzing the issues and facts, and then putting together a litigation plan or strategy that will identify the weaknesses and strengths of the case, and will result in success for our client,” says Mr. Hendrix.
“What makes me and my colleagues unique, as far as the handling of malpractice cases and nursing home litigation, is our combined years of experience together defending hundreds of these cases to successful resolution. This has given us a highly technical knowledge of medicine, and the medical and legal issues involved, which is so important during the discovery and deposition process in order to elicit favorable evidence for use at trial to obtain a successful result. This gives our clients a very distinct advantage: little or no learning curve on our part, and the ability and awareness to ask the right questions and identify the relevant facts to support a theory of defense early on that will very likely help win their case.”
Tom has the extensive experience necessary and the significant skills demanded for the preparation and trial of medical malpractice, nursing home, and premises liability cases, and has a proven trial history record of successful verdicts. He has successfully represented hundreds of healthcare professionals, nursing home facilities, and other clients in Cook County and the surrounding counties of DuPage, Kane, McHenry, Lake and Winnebago.
